South Carolina hardcore. Not exactly the first state which comes to mind when I’m digging up new bands, but BLACKLINES and IN REGRET are leading the pack with some fiercely inspired tunes. Three songs from each band on a slick slab of wax from Downside Records, also of the Palmetto State. Gritty black and white cover art, a variety of heavy, yet melodic riffs, and gang vocals offer just enough to get a taste of each band’s style, and capable of leaving you thirsting for a little more.
